Manini (sp. Acanthurus triostegus), 15″ x 10″
NOT FOR SALE
The Convict Tang, aptly named with its stripes, are herbivorous. They are sometimes seen in large schools of a hundred or so, shaking its body in attempt to tear off mouthfuls of limu or algae growing on shallow reefs.

The Reach – Tako and Crab (sp. Octopus cynea), 27″ x 17″
The Octopus is a master of disguise, able to change colors and simulate its surrounding texture within seconds. The best divers know the homes or “holes” of the octopus, and are able to track them, much like how an Indian scout uses clues to trail their game. Seen here catching a Blue Pincher crab.

Yellow Tang (sp. Zebrassoma flavescens), 31″ x 21″
Schools of this brilliant yellow fish swarm up to the surface, eager to eat whatever we offer. Always aware of predators, they spook easily and dive back to the bottom at the first sign of danger.

Ah`oleh`ole (sp. sp. Kuhlia malo), 31″ x 21″
My earliest memories of fishing were catching aholehole along the shore during the end of summer with my dad when the oama weren’t biting.
